25 Apr 2012
The Queens’ School of Business (QSB)’s Centre for Responsible Leadership and The Zugunruhe Project is proud to present a series of Discovery Workshops focused on the emerging social enterprise space.
The first workshop in the series, entitled “UNDERSTANDING SOCIAL ENTERPRISE: THE LANDSCAPE, OPPORTUNITIES, AND CHALLENGES” will be held Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 at the Queen’s School of Business (Kingston).
This series will be of particular interest to individuals wanting to learn more about how we can, as a society, leverage the power of business to solve the world’s pressing problem
During the first workshop, participants will learn about the emerging social enterprise “for profit” sector, what is social enterprise and why is it relevant, and also become informed about the players, metrics, legal environs and options for financing for your venture.
The workshop series will be of interest to current or aspiring entrepreneurs (in the for profit and not for profit spheres), plus small and medium sized business owners, and those serving the SME sector including accountants, consultants and lawyers, as well as economic development officers and local policy makers.
